revolutions on paper.

A couple of weeks ago I visited the British Museum and went to see the Revolutions on Paper exhibition (among other things). There was art work, posters and illustration from the Mexican socialist revolution in the early 20th century.

I really like work like this which has more of a meaning than other stuff. I'm a fan of the illustrations of the skeletons representing the people. Don't particulary know why, I just like the art style.

Here are some pics:

toy story 2.

Wow it was good... It was as good as I remember. Can't wait til Toy Story 3.

One thing though; we were the only two people in there, what the hell are the kids of today doing?

toy story.

Look at my sweet Christmas present that my girlfriend got me. Its amazing, and also Toy Story 2 in 3D at the weekend!

P.S. on a Pixar related note, I've chosen to do my book for my new project on Pixar shorts. i.e. the short animations they have before the movie. More info soon...

blurb.

For my new project I chose to design a book. The project name is 'Pass On Your Passions', and we were tasked with designing a book on a subject that we find interesting and attempt to present it in a way which would interest other people.

There are a couple of constraints:

1. That everything in the book must be found on the Internet. i.e all the images and any large bodies of text.

2. That we must use blurb.com to create the book.

The second constraint effectively gives everyone an even playing field on which to design their own books. I've never used blurb before so I'm excited to see how my book turns out when it's an actual physical thing.

more well.

well.

My collages up in the Well Gallery in the LCC before Christmas.

It was great to see all the collages up together and it created a vast mass which looked pretty spectacular. One thing I noticed was that it was difficult to pick out individual collages when you were looking at it as a whole, so each collage didn't seem as important. It was easier to pick up on 'groups' of collages which looked similar, like my juxtapostion collages with the train tickets on. However it was interesting to see the variety of collages people had created, and when you looked closer, you started to pick out individual collages and everytime you looked at a different wall you'd see a new one you hadn't seen before.

I really liked this aspect, the display looked good as a whole when all of the collages were together but it was also really interesting to take a close look too. Was almost worth all the effort... Almost.

Avatar is amazing. If you haven't seen it or if you're sceptical about 3D you should go, the 3D is great. It adds so much depth as opposed to being a gimmick like most 3D films.
